Important!!!! Are artifical nails bad for nails?
Having nail enhancements are no worse that having your hair colored or permed! There should never ever be any permanent damage to your nails. Your own nails will always grow back after 4-6months in the same condition they were in before the artificial nails were applied.
Your natural nail consist of many layers of dead skin, don't excrete anything and don't absorb anything, don't breathe!!!!
The artifical nail can protect your natural nail, no break, no polish problems (wait for hours and last for 3-4 days), just beautiful nails for a month and don't even mind about it!!!
Manicure:
Includes nail cutting and filing to my customers specifications. After soaking, the cuticles are pushed back and trimmed free of excess cuticle material. The nails are then softly buffed and cuticle oil is applied and rubbed into the cuticles.
Full set of gel nail: I offer the sculptured nails for everybody!!
Gel nails are sometimes preferred over acrylic nails as the products have very little order compared to acrylic nails. Gel nails are not as hard as acrylic but have many of the same wonderful, long lasting properties and polish does not easily chip off. Gel nails do require a “fill” approximately every two- three weeks. The cuticle is pushed back and the natural nail is lightly filed to prep nail for product application. A thin layer of bonder is brushed on and a thin layer of liquid gel is applied and allowed to cure for 30 seconds under the UV light. Another layers of gel is added, as needed, and is cured for 3 minutes under the UV light. The sticky residue from the gel is then wiped off to leave the nail smooth and free of imperfections. Polish, in a color of your choice, or French polish is then applied.
Full set of acrylic nail:
The cuticle is pushed back and the natural nail is lightly filed to prep nail for application of product. A coat of primer is applied followed by a blend of a liquid polymer and acrylic powder. This blend of powder and liquid is formed to cover the natural nail and creating a smooth surface. This is followed by filing and shaping to desired shape and size. Polish in your choice of shade is then applied. Acrylic nails are very sturdy and polish does not easily chip off. Acrylic nails require a “fill” every two- three weeks to fill in growth of the natural nail from the nail bed. The time for this service varies depending upon the condition of your nails.
Filling:
A fill is required for gel nails approximately every two-three weeks to fill in the growth of the natural nail from the nail bed. The hardened gel is filed down to make a more even surface for the application and blending of new product. The natural nail is lightly filed to prep the nail. A thin layer of bonder is applied and allowed to cure under UV lights for 30 seconds. This is followed by a thin coat of gel to cover new nail growth and blend with existing gel product. This is cured under the UV light for 1 minute. Another layer is added, as needed, to fully blend the old product and the new. This is then cured under a UV light for 3 minutes. The sticky residue is wiped off leaving the nail smooth and free of imperfections. The nail is then polished with the color of your choice or a french manicure. The time for this procedure varies depending upon the condition of the existing nails and the amount of growth since the last fill.
Removing Artificial Nails:
If you decide to remove your artificial nails I recommend getting them taken off by a professional in order to do the least amount of damage to your natural nails. Once the artificial nails are taken off your natural nails will feel soft. I definitely recommend applying a coat of our nail growth system and a medicated nail and cuticle oil at least once a day, preferably at night, to get your natural nails to the most perfect condition possible. It works even better if you can apply the medicated nail oil at least twice a day.
Design and decoration:
French is the most popular look among women. It's durable, classic, clean, natural and shiny. I decorating the nails with coloured acryl, glitter and rhinestones and painting designs with free-hand!!!
The artifical nails without the wait for polish to dry and the design never wears off. A non-yellowing formula is done in a double process with the white gel/powder for the edge and cover pink to choose for the nail bed. It never turns yellow under the sun or tanning bed.
How long does the application of the nails take?
- Sculpting full set of acrylic and gel nails – c. 1.5 to 2 hours,
- Refills – c. 60 minutes to 2 hours,
- Enhancements – additional 30-50 minutes.
To an inexperienced manicurist, the artificial nails’ application may take up to 3 hours.
All the nail technician have made a remark that the time of the application depends on many factors, including:
- the manicurist’s practice and skills,
- kind and brand of products used,
- customer’s demands (nail form and lenght / rich decoration / normal french manicure),
- a nail’s condition before the treatment (breakage, air under the artificial nails).
